Sonnet: Live Aright, Man!

Who are we cheating- Man, oneself or God?
Our sins estrange us all from God/ heaven;
Misdeeds invite God’s wrath, judgment, fair rod;
And happily, more devils romp therein.

So many times, we forget God’s commands;
Engrossed in earthly chores, we forget soul;
Many a time, we stray in alien lands;
When things go wrong, we question Maker’s role!

The love of God can’t wish for man’s ruin;
The Maker loves to have back souls He made;
The heart of God can forgive any sin;
Man ought to live in ways that Maker bade.

The soul of man belongs to God alone;
And hell wasn’t made for men to moan and groan!

Sonnet: When Unfairly Rejected, Don't Get Dejected!

When every time I face an election,
And get defeated by one shamefully,
I thank my stars and curb my emotion;
I accept voters’ verdict gratefully!

A Lion shouldn’t lead beasts of vile nature;
An honest man shouldn’t change his virtuous trait;
My talents, God will show how to nurture;
No one can change some foolish people’s fate!

A righteous king can’t rule an evil land;
The lazy-bones want leader too moron;
In everything, you see Almighty’s Hand!
He crowns the upright people with a sun!

The Lord has greater plans for righteous souls;
Prepare your mind and heart for newer roles!

Sonnet: When Angry!

Help me, O God, to hold my anger fast;
I must be cool while facing foolish mobs;
Their irritating methods cannot last;
Their misdemeanor gives me extra sobs!

In angry mood, mind’s function can be lost;
Avengeful is the angry heart of man;
Even the life of one, anger can cost;
Anger reduces the human life-span.

Control your anger ’fore it ruin brings;
An angry man can’t think or reason out;
An angry muse cannot unfurl its wings;
When anger strikes, man has about God doubt!

Just inhibit the vicious emotion;
Anger works like a dementing potion!

Sonnet: The Modern Man!

I need your blessings, Lord, to change life’s course;
I need your help also to do my best;
Lord, help me improve my earthly resource;
God dwell forever in my heart as guest!

Money gets frittered though one isn’t spendthrift;
One’s wealth accrues not, despite labor hard;
Things happen not in ways one wants quite swift;
God makes a person sing akin a bard!

’Tis hard to live a life of grace on earth;
The modern world abounds in mortal sins;
Man does not know the worth of real mirth;
He looks entranced and fails to even wince!

The ‘Homo sapiens’ has forgotten God;
For sins amaased, man’s sure to get the rod!

Sonnet: Home, Sweet Home!

A model-home has vanished in a trice!
Its members were united for long years;
The family had been kept free of vice;
The children studied without any fears.

The family looks shattered ’yond repair;
Each sibling lives a selfish life unknown;
A phone-message amidst them is so rare!
The bond of love that parents gave is gone.

An exemplary family seems lost;
The parental influences were great;
The bond of harmony is now a ghost;
‘’Tis all our making and not any fate!

When parents live, a home is truly home;
With parents dead, inmates share hatred-worm!

Sonnet: The Poor

Behold the poor who live in drudgery!
Ill-clad, unsheltered, bonded slaves of rich;
Ill-paid all life, they end in misery!
They wear a smile despite ‘misfortune’s itch’.

Uncared, they live in slums to serve their ‘lords’!
It rains just cats and dogs for them all life;
There’s no silver-lining in their clouds;
They eke their livelihood in utter strife!

The wind is fierce and blows without a lull;
Their naked bodies work in scorching sun!
Their tired frames can’t rest even if ill;
In many ways exploited, life goes on;

And some are tortured by their masters mad;
But heaven waits to make their hearts quite glad!

Sonnet: The Man of Wisdom!

Most labor for immediate good returns;
Some work all life to pull off great a feat;
For benefits and earthly gains, heart yearns;
We always want success to come and greet!

The man of wisdom does not wish for these;
He does his duties all whole-heartedly;
He only wants at mind and heart some peace;
He prays to God all life repeatedly!

All earthly things are transient, worthless;
Our stay on earth prepares our soul for God;
Our needs of life God gives, nevertheless;
This human life’s most precious gift from Lord!

God’s blessings give anyone good awards;
God-willingly anyone gets rewards.
