Sonnet: Ill-gotten Wealth

For how long can you hide your wealth on earth?
Ill-gotten assets vanish in due course;
It cannot give you any real mirth;
It turns your life from bad to truly worse!

Black-money seems to give luxurious life;
Wealth undeclared denies persons sound sleep;
Excessive wealth is double-edged a knife;
Some day, it causes one to loudly weep.

‘Benami’ wealth gets forgotten with time;
Money when idle serves no purpose good;
A dollar unused isn’t good as a dime!
Satiety comes with ‘labor hard earned food’!

Unearth your unused wealth to help brethren;
Your extra buck can bring to poor, heaven!
