Sonnet: 'Tis Christmas-time Again

'Tis Christmas-time again this year for me;
I wish it brings me joy and much more cheer;
0 Jesus Lord, please bless my family;
The ones I love, both far and near and dear.

This year has had its joys and woes, bygone;
Some days of despair, heart cannot describe;
And some had died while others had been born;
To lucky few, I do still now prescribe!

But anyway, the year had been better,
Than all the previous ones that had passed by;
Lesser to man and more to God, debtor;
I am, but God's my Friend and Guide so nigh.

Perhaps, the New-Year brings more surprises,
Including the skyrocketing prices!

Sonnet: In Relentless Despair…

When problems of all kinds surround a man,
And hopes of break-through appear very dim,
Despair afills attempts to solve them if he can,
And life on earth has turned so very grim…

The will to live seems lost considerably,
Temptations drive his mind to crazy heights;
Each fleeting moment slows so miserably,
Decisions made are spirited in-fights…

To cut one’s thread of life seems imminent;
No human soul offers a helping hand;
The vanity of life looks prominent;
A man seems alien in his native land…

God helps to face the storms of life somehow;
His love and mercy flows from high above!

Sonnet: May the Righteous Minds Prevail!

O God, extend life-spans of people good;
The growing evils must be annulled fast;
The world is seeing heinous crimes, shed-blood;
The innocent lives mustn’t be easily lost.

Even the lion chooses weakened prey!
The 'foxes' trot to cheat unwary ones;
And everywhere are seen areas of grey;
Governance is by harassment and guns!

World-order appears in chaos, doldrums;
The nature’s furies strike millions dead;
Going to waste are people’s hard-earned sums;
What can we do if rivers change course-bed?

The earth is turning unfit for living;
Our prayers keep the planet still going!
